Job Description
The successful candidate will work in the contracts group developing, planning and scheduling proposals. Experience should include US Government Defense proposals pricing. Compile cost schedule and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, complying with company procedures and customer requirements. Provides Pricing support and is capable of leading a Finance team for all phases of the proposal process - proposal development through negotiations. Has a strong understanding of the current regulatory environment relative to the submission of proposals to the US Government. As a Pricing Analyst they will coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling and performance elements from functional departments and generation of labor rates and cost proposals in support of DoD contracts. Research and analyze historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinate activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Must stay current on government acquisition policies and disseminates such information. Assist with contract administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Advanced ability to use MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and presentation software, and proficient with a wide range of software and database applications. Possess knowledge and understanding of estimating and pricing techniques and regulatory requirements within the company and industry. Knowledge and adherence to Defense and Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR and FAR). Familiar with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work and interface with various levels of personnel. May require working extended hours. Ability to analyze data and present results of the analysis. Highly motivated, self starter with the ability to manage concurrent proposal assignments and function in time-sensitive situations. Interact with business development, contracts and senior management in the development of cost/price strategy development and risk analysis, and participate in management reviews. Assist with contract administration. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors Degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics or an applicable discipline. Experience: 5 to 8 Yrs Pricing Experience in Government Contracting
