ALL BASKETS ARE FILLED! There will be 20 regular games, specials, drawings, and King Tut for Cash. Tickets are $20 and available at the door. Doors open 5pm with games beginning at 7pm. Photographs from the archives, a snapshot gallery and statements from students will illustrate the impact that art programs have made on generations of aspiring artists. Open to amateur and professional photographers of all ages, the exhibition highlights various styles and photographic techniques. This year's juror was Bruce Katsiff, photographer and Director of the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Join us on Sunday, February 12 for the Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Conservit, Inc. Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favorite photograph by casting a ballot for the Popular Prize. This exhibition continues through April 29, 2012. Instructor Melissa Gibson, local professional artist who has taught at the museum for the past five years, will begin each class by reading a beautifully illustrated book to the museum's tiniest students and then lead exciting activities related to the theme, style or characters in the book. This class meets on the first Wednesday of each month through May. Each class is totally new and unique. Cost: $6 non-members; $5.50 museum members per child, per session. Registration is required.
