The importance of the pieces and their utilitarian value will also be examined. Pieces crafted in various media such as glass and silver, dating from 1812 through 1932 are inclluded in the collection. Also included are paintings displaying how artists used decorative art objects as subjects in still lifes and other compositions. This exhibit will be on display through July 2013. Our members come from all walks of life and all levels of singing ability. Some read music, but most learn their music with the benefit of learning CDs. We put it all together on meeting nights. We sing for civic, business and private events or churches, at retirement communities or nursing homes. We can supply a chorus or a quartet to meet the needs of almost any event. If you can sing 'Happy Birthday,' you've most likely got what it takes to be a member of the Statesmen. We'll teach you to sing as we go along. If you aren't comfortable singing in public, but enjoy singing with friends, this is the place for you. The members all work together for the good of the chapter and the community.
