The City of Brunswick, the Brunswick Potomac Foundation and the Brunswick Rail Road Museum have joined forces to save this last piece of Brunswick Railroad History, raising funds to move the WB from its current location to a new location. Brunswick Crossing is proud to contribute to this worthy cause. In celebration of the opening of Brunswick Crossing’s Valley Trail, runners of all ages are invited to run a 5K Trail race/walk and 1 mile kids fun run on Saturday May 19th, 2012 beginning at 6:00PM. The fun begins with a kids 1 mile fun run in the Brunswick Crossing community starting and ending at the community’s Hope Farm Park. Prizes will be awarded for all participants. The timed 5K race is fun paved trail course meandering through Brunswick Crossing’s Valley Trail, through almost 100 acres of stream valley forest conservation area. Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each 10-year age group. A fun event for the whole family, participants and visitors will enjoy live music in Hope Farm Park, refreshments, moonbounce and other family activities.
