The farmers market will also feature Fresh Give!, a program that provides fresh fruits and vegetables to Montgomery County families in need. Fresh Give! encourages local businesses to donate money to the market to purchase unsold fresh produce that is then donated to Manna Food Center in Montgomery County. The program offers numerous benefits for the local community such as providing deserving families with fresh, healthy foods, helping local farmers generate additional revenue and allowing businesses to make charitable contributions and collect tax benefits. A host of festivities are planned for opening day on June 7 including live music featuring the Jimmy Purdum Band and special childrens activities including a hay maze.
