The wreaths and trees, ranging from the fancy to the funky, are decorated by local artists, businesses, school groups, community organizations, and other residents. Individuals can bid on the decorated pieces throughout the festival during a silent auction. In addition to the wreaths being on display, an array of holiday activities are planned during the eight-day event, truly making it a festival atmosphere. People can enjoy holiday entertainment, movies, hands-on activities, and much more. Most of the activities are free and open to the public and enjoyable for the entire family. Byrne conserved many of the paintings in the exhibition and will discuss the conservation process. Garman researched Jex and the locations he painted in Harpers Ferry and he will discuss the artist and the town in the mid-twentieth century. The Ganet Jex Exhibition is on view until January 17, 2010.
