In their memory, the foundation will persevere with the work of raising money for at-risk youth. Neal Lanning, founder of AHYF, This will be an evening to remember and the genesis of a yearly event that Im sure will become an exciting staple in local residents social calendar. Funds raised during the evenings event will benefit two recipients: Advent Home and Teen Challenge USA. Advent Home Learning Center, based in Calhoun, Tennessee, is a remedial Christian school for 12 to 18-year-old at-risk boys with special academic and behavioral needs, currently housing 32 students. They may be struggling with school dismissal, low self-image, and family problems. Tuition fees are quite expensive for families and oftentimes not covered by traditional insurance. AHYF stands to serve those families desperate for a healing alternative school in a minimum distraction environment. More information about Advent home can be found at www.adventhome.org. Teen Challenge is a Christian organization that successfully works with people who have life-controlling problems and are without the necessary resources and opportunities to live productively. Using both residential and outreach programs, Teen Challenge is the oldest and largest private agency in America working in this field. More information about the Maryland branch of Teen Challenge USA can be found at www.teenchallengeusa.com/maryland/. Tickets are available to purchase online through the foundation website, www.AHYouthFoundation.org or over the phone at 301.694.5313 About the foundation: In June of 2009, Advanced Helicopter Youth Foundation (AHYF) was established by helicopter pilots to heal families with an at-risk child before a crisis is reached in the home, by promoting, advancing, and facilitating affordable, durable and compassionate mental health care. The foundation stands to raise funds and awareness for charities that operate on the front-lines helping Americas at-risk youth. As a nonprofit organization, AHYF relies upon the generosity and ongoing support of grants, private donors, gifts and the help of volunteers.
