Description: Join Downtown Frederick Partnership and Sandy Spring Bank in saying "I ART Downtown Frederick" on Saturday, June 7th from 5 - 9pm. After visiting the Frederick Festival of the Arts on Carroll Creek from 10am - 7pm, explore the rest of downtown and enjoy I ART Downtown Painters creating scenes LIVE on the streets of downtown from 3 - 7pm. The finished works of art will move to the Cultural Arts Center, 15 N Market Street, for a exhibit/sale from 8 - 9pm that evening. Also, enjoy interactive public art projects, help contruct or deconstruct a piece of artwork from 5 - 9pm. This full day of arts also includes live entertainment and more. Enjoy dinner at one of downtown's fabulous restuarants or shop at over 70 independently owned and operated unique boutiqes from 5 - 9pm! Every month, enjoy exhibit openings, guest artists and live entertainment designed to showcase the best of Downtown Frederick the First Saturday of every month from 5-9 pm. You'll also enjoy extended shopping hours at many of our fine locally owned and operated specialty stores. Location: Market, Patrick, Church, Court, & Carroll Streets, including Everedy Square & Shab Row. Before heading out to First Saturday, aeronautics fans can enjoy the 18th Annual AOPA Fly-In & Open House from 8:30am - 5pm at 421 Aviation Way, near the Frederick Airport.. FREE Headquarters tour, 100 exhibits, aviation safety seminars and 40 aircraft on disply, all open to the public at the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA).
