Everyday, 35 children are diagnosed with diabetes, a disease which lasts a lifetime and carries the constant threat of many complications. JDRF's mission is to find a cure for diabetes, with over 85% of every dollar raised going directly to research and related education.
The 2009 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes will be held on Sunday, April 19 at Frederick Community College. Registration starts at 11 AM and the walk begins at 1 PM.
You are invited to make a difference in the lives of people with type 1 diabetes by participating in the walk. JDRF Walks are family friendly and feature plenty of entertainment, food, and fun. You'll have a great time, get some exercise, and most importantly, be part of the cure. Please go to www.walk.jdrf.org to register. Volunteers are also needed to help organize the walk. If you are interested in helping to plan this event or need more information, please call 410-636-8080.
