Brunswick, MD—Michael Hough, candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates (District 3B) filed the necessary paperwork with the State Board of Elections to appear on the 2010 Republican primary election ballot. Hough opened a campaign fundraising account in March of 2008.
Hough set a fundraising record in the district by raising almost $30,000 last year and has gained support from a number of elected Republican leaders including Congressman Roscoe Bartlett, Senator Alex X. Mooney, House Minority Whip Delegate Chris Shank, former Delegate Patrick Hogan, and the past two Frederick County Republican Central Committee Chairmen Dino Flores and Mary Rolle.
“I’ve been overwhelmed by the early support and enthusiasm my candidacy has received. People are looking for principled conservative leaders who will stand for lower taxes, traditional family values, and fiscal responsibility. Since announcing my candidacy, I’ve made cutting taxes and creating jobs two of my top priorities,” said Hough.
Hough is a veteran of the United States Air Force, previously served as legislative aide to Senator Alex X. Mooney, is a current elected member and past chairman of the Frederick County Republican Central Committee. He currently works at the American Legislative Exchange Council, which is the nation’s largest membership organization for conservative state legislators and resides in Brunswick, Maryland with his wife JoeyLynn, two-year-old daughter Katelynn, one-year-old son Grant, and fourteen-year-old brother Anthony.
