State-of-the-Art Newbridge Spine & Pain Center Opens in Frederick, MD
FREDERICK, MD - November 18, 2009 - Dr. Jay Gonchigar, MD, is proud to announce the opening of Newbridge Spine & Pain Center at 196 Thomas Johnson Drive (Suite 215) in Frederick, MD.
“We are delighted to offer the Frederick community our compassionate approach to treating pain,” said Dr. Gonchigar, founder of Newbridge Spine & Pain Center. “The comfort of our patients is our top priority and the new facility enables us to make them feel at home while providing high quality care.”
Established in February 2009, Newbridge Spine & Pain Center offers non-interventional and interventional pain management services for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain. The new location is a brand new 4,500 square-foot facility with multiple private examination rooms, designated patient education areas and an advanced state-of-the-art procedure suite.
Prior to providing the Frederick community with comprehensive chronic pain management for the past 12 years, Dr. Gonchigar completed his medical training, including a fellowship in pain management, and held a faculty position at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA. He was a founding member of Capital Area Pain Management Associates in 1999, one of the first free-standing pain management clinics in the area.
Dr. F. Craig Littlejohn, MD, joined Newbridge Spine & Pain Center in September 2009. He recently completed advanced training in pain medicine with one of the leading authorities in the field, Scott Fishman, MD, at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Dr. Littlejohn brings a whole-person approach, and experience with cutting edge procedural and medicinal therapies to the Frederick community. “I am thrilled to be part of the Newbridge Spine & Pain team, and to bring new solutions to old pain problems at this new, full-equipped facility,” Dr. Littlejohn said.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome patients to our office because they receive efficient personalized attention every time,” said Carlton McClellan, PA-C, a long-standing member of Dr. Gonchigar’s team.
