You didn’t think I was only thankful up till the letter M, did you ? I just had to take a break.
N - Nonsense. We all need a little bit of it in our lives. It makes us laugh and remember not to be so serious! The times that I spend in my car singing silly song with and to my kids are priceless to me and even though they mean absolutely nothing and are full of nonsense, they are always weighted down with lots of love.
O- Optimism. I believe that our attitude makes up most of what our life is all about. Therefore the more optimistic we can be, the better our life will turn out.
P- Patriotism. In the USA we are the most patriotic people in the world. I love my country and I am thrilled to be an American.
Q - Questions. Being able to ask questions give us the opportunity to learn more and more each day.
R - Rest! Hopefully we all rest easy in our beds each night.
S - Sanity. Ha ha ha, there are days that I really think I have lost it but I do my best to keep it. I’m thankful that I have it, one day at a time.
T- Trust. Without being able to have trust in someone, the world and life can be a very scary and unsafe place.
U- Understanding. I am thankful that I have been given a certain level of understanding by my friends and family.
V- Victories. Everyone likes to win sometime. I’m not a sore loser but victory is nice! There is nothing wrong with a little competition in all of us.
W - Wisdom. God has granted me the wisdom that I need to make everyday decisions in my life and my children’s life. So far he has given me a decent amount.
X- X-rays, HAHAHA okay, I couldn’t think of anything but I did have to make a few trips to the hospital this year. The kids all came back with good x-rays and no broken bones. I am pretty darn thankful for that!
Y- Youth, my kids bring out the youth in me and make me so glad that I have them around to keep me young. If there were a fountain of youth, I think it would consist of good memories and liquid determination!
Z -Zebra’s! Again, I can’t think of anything. I ask my son what he liked that started with Z and he said Zebra’s. This one is for him. He is very thankful for the Zibra’s of the world!
I guess that wraps it up for this year but on a serious note, we all need to take time to “stop and smell the flowers” every now and then. Being thankful makes the not so pleasant occasions of the world a little easier to get through. Just a suggestion, to make yourself a little more aware of the good things that come to you every day. Get a small journal and write down three small things that you have been blessed with each day.
