I know we probably don’t like to talk about this all that often but I guess if Sponge Bob can do it so can I . Here it goes, we are going to discuss what NOT to do at a stop light. Okay, maybe it will go beyond just at a stop light but we really should be more aware of what we do in our cars. Yes, the have metal all around them but I think we sometimes fail to realize that those things that roll up and down are also very see through (unless you have illegal tint). Your fellow drivers can see you in there and its not always pretty to look at. It’s human nature to look at what is going on in the car next to you at a stop light. Hopefully you aren’t staring but I know that most people take a quick look at a bare minimum. Unfortunately what we see isn’t always what we expected or really wanted to see. Drive by booger picking is NOT attractive. Don’t think that you can play it off by rubbing your eye or scratching your nose. Once you have been busted “digging for gold” or “scratching your brain” it’s all over.
Ladies, ladies, ladies! Put on your make up on at home. No one (especially a man) wants to see you with your mouth in that funny shaped “o” while you are putting on your mascara. Aside from being dangerous, it’s an insult to the people around you. They are sitting at the light behind you or next to you waiting for it to change and you are more interested in putting on the second coat of liner, therefore holding up the line. Just like you brush your teeth at home. Make up should be private…not a show for all.
We all have to “eat on the go” at some point. Please, pick out something that is easy to run with. They have these really neat cups of soup that you can eat now or maybe even some chips but it is not appropriate to break out the spaghetti with garlic bread. I guarantee you that there is no one that wants to see noodles hanging from your mouth as you suck it up and lick your chops.
Keep the tunes to a minimum. If you are on the highway and feeling the breeze blow through your hair there is not a thing in the world with turning up the radio and signing like you have never sung before. However, if you are on a small street and your “neighbor” has to hear what’s going on in your car. Be considerate. Maybe the 75 year old guy next to you is not really interested in your latest hip hop CD as Im sure you may not be interested in his Sinatra. Aside for the music being loud…don’t sing so loud that people are coming out of their houses to look. Unless you have a voice that is divine, keep it to yourself. If it is divine.. Sell it, don’t just give it away J
Be curious and keep your private stuff private. Your vehicle is NOT private.
