FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Get Heidi Fit and local Zumba® instructors to host a Zumbathon® to fundraise for the Western Maryland “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” and rally support for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Frederick, MD – September 22nd, 2012 - Get Heidi Fit will be hosting a Zumbathon® Charity Event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association on Saturday, September 22nd from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 8350 Pinecliff Park Road, Shelter 5, Frederick, MD. Get Heidi Fit, Zumba® Fitness instructors, and local businesses will be donating all funds raised at this event to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event on October 21, 2012 held at the Maryland School for the Deaf in downtown Frederick.
September is World Alzheimer’s Month, so Zumbathon participants are encouraged to wear purple to show their support and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Participants that wear purple to the event will be entered into a raffle drawing. In addition to raising awareness, this event will be a great way to bring the community together to encourage health & fitness and raise funds for the Walk. The September 22nd Zumbathon® will be a 1 ½ hour, fun (yet intense) dance fitness party led by local certified Zumba instructors, certified personal trainer and former 6 year NFL pro-cheerleader Heidi Inthavong (Get Heidi Fit). “Our goal is to bring in a live DJ to spin our music for the event, creating a “party” atmosphere full the ultimate dance-fitness experience,” says event organizer and Get Heidi Fit Zumba instructor, Heidi Inthavong.
The Zumbathon will offer participants dance fitness, fun, refreshments, raffle, silent auction, Swag Bags, and more in exchange for a $15 donation. Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Ditch the workout, JOIN THE PARTY by visiting www.GetHeidiFit.com, follow the link to purchase tickets and make donation towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
