In 1985, in Brandon, Florida, Jim Mellody dreamed up the idea of a neighborhood pub where friends and families could gather to enjoy good food and sports in a comfortable friendly atmosphere.
  
His love of sports inspired him to offer as many games as possible to his customers, so he invested in TV's and satellite dishes. Jim covered the walls with sports memorabilia he had collected and graced his menu with an Irish Blessing that symbolized the Irish tradition of happy times.
