Preferred Autobody is located behind the Frederick Fairgrounds in Historic Frederick. It is a completely remodeled 17,500 square foot state-of-the-art facility that has been awarded the I Car Gold Class to to recognize its commitment to training and keeping up with the latest technology in the automotive industry. The office offers a large, clean and modern work area complete with computer hookups for adjuster’s laptops. All estimating is computerized using the CCC/Mitchell System and Audatex System which are used by most major insurance companies. This allows them to accurately assess the damage
and electronically send it directly to the insurance company.
Preferred Autobody has a 30 bay body repair section which houses the latest in state-of-the-art repair equipment from R12 and R134A Freon Recovery and Recycle machines to MIG
Welders, Resistance spot welders to duplicate your factory welds,
and Lenco Quick Pull Dent Removal Systems.

Equipped With The Latest Technology
Preferred Autobody’s frame department features two Chief EZ-Liner Classic Frame Machine complete with all options. This allows us to rigidly clamp the vehicle directly to the frame machine for a quick and accurate repair. All measurements are made by Chief’s Genesis ll Laser Computerized Measuring System. The Genesis ll constantly monitors and measures the repairs along with printouts showing the progress. This computer is able to interface by modem with Chief Automotive’s tech support group to analyze and resolve any problems found while making a repair. Upon completion the owner of the vehicle receives a damage analysis showing pre-repair damage and the completed repair.

Preferred Autobody is a proud user of Sikkens Paint products which carry a lifetime warranty to the original owner of the vehicle. To qualify for this program, all of our paint technicians have to be trained and certified in all stages of the paint repair. This includes use of the Sikkens computer aided tinting system and the use of the newest HVLP technology, sprayed in down draft paint booths that bake the finish on.
