An accomplished musician before becoming a Registered Piano Technician "Ted" Snyder, is the only active registered piano technician in Frederick County Maryland who is also a member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Washington D.C. Chapter. The Washington DC Chapter was the first chapter in the Piano Technicians Guild. A Registered Piano Technician (RPT) is a piano technician who has passed a series of rigorous tests given by the PTG. The mission of the Piano Technicians Guild is to promote the highest possible standards of piano service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
